It compares a hotel's occupancy, average daily rate and revenue per available room with an agreed competitive set, and now brings revenue, expense, profit and wider property-market information into the CoStar platform.

A competitive-set benchmark is only useful if the set is genuinely comparable. Location, market level, service, facilities and trading pattern can make a superficially nearby hotel a poor comparator. STR explains what happened relative to the market; it does not set prices, fix distribution or replace revenue-management judgement. Hotels must investigate the reasons behind changes. Data sharing and confidentiality rules matter. Confirm participation requirements, reporting delay, suppression rules, licence scope and which profit or expense measures are actually included in the proposed package.
HotelIQ Decision Cloud is a hospitality-specific business intelligence platform. It draws operational data from hotel systems into portfolio and property-level dashboards for revenue, commercial and management teams. It is not a PMS and does not replace front desk, reservation or distribution systems.

HotelIQ is an analytical layer, not a replacement for the PMS or revenue management system. Its value depends on reliable source-system connections and someone using the information regularly. The supplier currently describes Mews and Shiji Daylight connections as coming soon. They should not be treated as live integrations until the supplier confirms production availability for the specific property. Implementation is normally four to six weeks according to the supplier, with setup fees and separately priced add-ons. Public feedback mentions occasional slower performance and a need for stronger training materials.
Zonal Dimensions+ provides hospitality reporting and labour or operational insight within the Zonal estate, using sales, staffing and site information to support management decisions.
