HotelIQ Decision Cloud
HotelIQ Decision Cloud is a hospitality-specific business intelligence platform. It draws operational data from hotel systems into portfolio and property-level dashboards for revenue, commercial and management teams. It is not a PMS and does not replace front desk, reservation or distribution systems.
Independent perspective
Our review
HotelIQ gives a hotel’s commercial team a consistent view of the numbers behind its performance. It brings property management data together for daily checks and analysis of booking pace, pickup, segments and channels. For groups using different systems or currencies, the useful part is having everyone work from the same definitions. We see its strongest value where a revenue manager regularly spends time assembling spreadsheets before they can make a decision.
Our main reservation is the commitment behind that reporting. The terms recorded in our review include a twelve-month contract, automatic renewal, three months’ notice and payment of the remaining term on early exit. The pricing floor also makes smaller properties pay as though they had fifty rooms. More seriously, no bulk export of historical data was offered when the contract ends.
We would agree the data exit arrangements before signing and ask for a reference hotel of a comparable size. The references offered during our review were luxury properties or larger London groups; they do not establish the same return for a modest independent. Someone also needs to own the reporting and use it regularly.
Our verdict
We recommend considering HotelIQ for commercially active independents of roughly forty rooms upwards and small groups that need consistent reporting. It is less suited to guesthouses, hostels or hotels without a revenue function. Its value comes from better decisions made with the information, not from having another dashboard.
The assessment
What stands out
Strengths
Hospitality-specific analysis. Dashboards focus on pace, pickup, segments, channels, room types, geography and total revenue rather than generic finance-only reporting.
Designed for portfolio use. It supports group-wide views and detailed drill-down for individual properties.
Modular entry point. Published tiers allow hotels to select history depth and analytical applications, with additional forecasting, STR, rate shopping, RMS and food and beverage connections available separately.
Strong specialist feedback. Hotel Tech Report currently shows a high product rating, with reviewers valuing detailed reporting, drill-down and support.
Worth knowing
HotelIQ is an analytical layer, not a replacement for the PMS or revenue management system. Its value depends on reliable source-system connections and someone using the information regularly.
The supplier currently describes Mews and Shiji Daylight connections as coming soon. They should not be treated as live integrations until the supplier confirms production availability for the specific property.
Implementation is normally four to six weeks according to the supplier, with setup fees and separately priced add-ons. Public feedback mentions occasional slower performance and a need for stronger training materials.
Operational fit
Where it fits
- Combine hotel performance data in property and portfolio dashboards.
- Analyse pace, pickup, segments, channels, room types and total revenue.
- Reduce manual spreadsheet preparation for commercial meetings.
- Compare properties while retaining drill-down to detailed hotel performance.
- Add forecasting, STR, rate shopping, RMS or food and beverage analysis where the relevant add-on and connection are confirmed.
Best suited for
Four and five-star independent hotels and multi-property groups with a dedicated revenue, commercial or portfolio analyst who needs consistent hotel performance reporting across several systems.
May not suit
Small properties without a regular commercial or revenue-management process, businesses seeking a PMS or a tool that actively changes rates, or any hotel whose required PMS connection is only planned rather than live.
