The assessment

What stands out

Strengths

Part of a connected hospitality suite. The product can share processes and data with selected Zonal products when the exact integrations are configured.

Designed for UK hospitality. Its workflows are aimed at pubs, restaurants, hotels and leisure operators.

Worth knowing

Aztec is a substantial POS estate, not a simple tablet till. Hardware, site configuration, menu and recipe data, payments, kitchen routing, resilience, upgrades and integrations need careful implementation. Confirm whether older local infrastructure is being retained or modernised.

Operational fit

Where it fits

  • Zonal Aztec is hospitality point-of-sale software covering ordering, payments, product and recipe setup, table service, cash control, stock-related workflows and estate reporting..
  • Reduce duplicate administration where supported Zonal connections are enabled.
  • Keep the relevant operational record within the Zonal product estate.

Best suited for

UK pub, restaurant and hotel food and beverage operations needing a mature multi-site POS with wider Zonal options.

May not suit

Operators choosing it only because another Zonal product is installed, without testing the required workflow, integration and total cost.
