Workforce
Workforce.com
Workforce.com is workforce management software for hourly and shift-based teams. It brings together employee scheduling, time and attendance, labour forecasting, team communication and optional HR and payroll functions. Packages can be bought separately or combined, so the precise scope must be checked.
Independent perspective
Our review
Workforce.com can bring scheduling, attendance, employee records and UK payroll into one employee-based process. Labour costs are visible while the rota is built, rather than only after month end. The recorded assessment also identifies employment checks and alerts within scheduling. We see its strongest value where several departments currently pass information between separate rota, HR and payroll tools.
Our main reservation is the complete package and the connection to hotel demand. Several of the useful functions are additional modules, so the base licence does not describe the whole cost. A ready-made PMS feed was not established in our review, meaning occupancy-led scheduling may require a custom connection. Contract, exit and UK hosting details also need settling before employee and payroll records are moved.
We would test a complete pay period and the actual employment controls required by the business. Confirm which modules are included, who maintains a demand feed and what data can be exported. Allow proper setup time while judging daily scheduling separately.
Our verdict
We recommend considering Workforce.com for hotels and groups wanting to consolidate shift-team administration and payroll. It is less suited to a property retaining a payroll arrangement it will not change or expecting the rota to follow PMS demand immediately. The benefit depends on adopting the connected employee process.
The assessment
What stands out
Strengths
Links staffing to demand. Managers can use historic sales and workload information to plan shifts and monitor labour costs.
Joins scheduling and attendance. Published rotas, clock-ins, breaks, leave and timesheets sit in one workflow.
Supports larger hourly workforces. The product is aimed at organisations with complex rules, multiple locations and regular staffing changes.
Strong general user feedback. Reviewers commonly value ease of use, implementation support, scheduling, real-time updates and payroll preparation.
Worth knowing
Workforce.com sells Scheduling, HR, Payroll and an All-in-One package. UK buyers must confirm which payroll and compliance functions apply locally rather than assuming features described for the United States are included.
Pricing is quote-based and depends on staff numbers, modules and implementation. Ask for the complete subscription, setup, integration and support cost.
Reviews are positive overall, although users mention setup and navigation complexity, occasional slowness, limited customisation and a mobile experience that can be weaker than desktop. Hotel Tech Report currently has no hotelier reviews for the payroll listing.
