Events Management

Tripleseat

Tripleseat is sales and event management software for restaurants, hotels and venues. It manages enquiries, calendars, proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, client communication, deposits and reporting. Tripleseat Hotels adds hotel-specific PMS connections, guest room blocks and multi-day event functions; these should not be assumed in a restaurant or venue package.

Independent perspective

Our review

Tripleseat keeps event enquiries, proposals, contracts, function details, room blocks and invoicing together. Public feedback recorded in our review repeatedly values its ease of use and having the event in one place. For hotels, the recorded Mews and Cloudbeds connections are particularly relevant because room blocks and pickup are common sources of duplicate entry.

Our main reservation is whether the event business can justify the cost. The recorded annual licence sits towards the premium end before setup. Reviewers also ask for more flexible executive reporting. Security certifications were not verified from the supplier’s trust information, and the named UK references reviewed were larger premium venues.

We would test a complete event, including amendments to the room block and final invoicing, rather than judging it from the sales pipeline alone. Agree which system owns each record and use the hotel’s real reporting requirements in the demonstration.

Our verdict

We recommend considering Tripleseat for hotels with a regular events programme and a named person responsible for selling it, particularly where the PMS connection removes duplicated work. It is less suited to a small property taking occasional private dining bookings. The fixed cost needs a dependable event revenue stream behind it.

The assessment

What stands out

Strengths

Keeps event work together. Enquiries, client messages, documents, tasks, payments and event status can be managed against one booking.

Useful for restaurant private dining. Direct booking, proposals, minimum spends, deposits and event orders support high-volume private event sales.

Has a specific hotel package. Tripleseat Hotels adds room blocks, multi-day events and supported PMS connections.

Well established with users. Public reviews commonly praise ease of use, calendars, templates, client communication and customer support.

Worth knowing

The hotel, restaurant and venue use cases are not identical. Hotels should confirm Tripleseat Hotels, the exact PMS integration and whether room block pickup, rates and changes move in both directions.

Pricing is tailored by location, volume, package and add-ons rather than published as a standard tariff. Ask for the complete cost of setup, users, integrations, payments, support and document changes.

Public feedback is strong overall. Recurring cautions concern reporting flexibility, document configuration, some hotel group workflows and charges or delays for supplier-assisted changes.

Operational fit

Where it fits

  • Capture, organise and follow up event enquiries.
  • Create proposals, contracts, event orders and client communications.
  • Collect deposits and track event status from one booking record.
  • Manage hotel room blocks and multi-day events when Tripleseat Hotels is selected.

Best suited for

Restaurants with significant private dining and event sales, venues with a busy enquiry pipeline, and hotels using the dedicated hotel package for groups, room blocks and events.

May not suit

Small operators handling only occasional simple events, or hotels that have not confirmed the dedicated hotel package and a reliable connection to their exact PMS.

What it supports

Key capabilities

Events and groups

Native

Integrated payments

Native

Accounting and billing

Partial

Invoicing, deposits and payment capture sit inside the platform, but review themes on G2 name financial functionality as a weak point and no accounting system connection is evidenced. Posting to the ledger is not proven.

CRM and segmentation

Native

Reporting and analysis

Partial

The recurring criticism on Hotel Tech Report is that reporting is not customisable enough for executive level analysis. Treat standard reporting as adequate for the events team and insufficient for board reporting until tested.

Integration marketplace

Native

Multi-property management

Partial

Use across 46 hotels is evidenced at Springboard Hospitality, but no source describes a portfolio level view, cross property reporting or shared configuration. Multi property use is proven, multi property management is not.

Reservation management

Partial

Handles event bookings and guest room blocks. It is not a reservation system for individual transient bookings, which stay in the property management system.
