Tahola AI

Tahola AI is a fully managed hospitality analytics service from Ometis. It brings information from EPOS, labour, bookings, stock, finance, marketing, compliance and guest-feedback systems into a shared reporting environment, with dashboards, automated reporting and ongoing support from a UK data team. It is a tailored analytics layer rather than a core hotel or restaurant operating system.

Independent perspective

Our review

Tahola AI brings sales, rotas, stock, bookings, finance and guest feedback into a shared reporting view. Its strongest proposition is for pub and restaurant groups whose managers currently reconcile several versions of the same numbers. Agreeing what covers, net sales and like-for-like performance mean during setup is essential. We see that common reporting foundation as more valuable than the novelty of asking an AI assistant a question.

Our main reservation for hotels is the evidence of fit. The recorded results concern food and beverage groups, and our research did not establish a hotel PMS connection or a published hotel case study. The recorded commercial terms also leave questions about renewal increases, early exit and ownership of the dashboards and data model. A substantial setup fee and a build of around three months require a clear business case.

Before committing, we would ask the supplier to demonstrate the actual source systems, reporting definitions and data ownership arrangements for the proposed deployment. Hotel groups should test rooms reporting separately from the food and beverage examples.

Our verdict

We recommend considering Tahola AI for groups with a substantial food and beverage operation and someone responsible for the reporting. It is less suited to a single hotel seeking a quick reporting improvement. The return depends on the scale of the reporting problem and the decisions the team will make with the results.

The assessment

What stands out

Strengths

Joins fragmented hospitality information. A shared model can reduce manual spreadsheets and conflicting reports across finance, sales, labour and operations.

Managed rather than software-only. Ometis builds and maintains the data connections, reporting model and dashboards instead of expecting operators to employ their own technical team.

Relevant multi-site experience. Published customers include restaurant, pub, leisure and larger hospitality groups with complex source systems.

Supports cross-department decisions. Joined data can show relationships between sales, labour, stock, bookings and other operational measures.

Worth knowing

Tahola AI is a data and reporting project, not an instant dashboard for every property. Source quality, inconsistent definitions and missing identifiers must be resolved before the reports become dependable. Agree who owns each measure and how corrections are governed.

The service is best evidenced in larger multi-site food-and-beverage and leisure businesses. A single hotel with a straightforward reporting need may obtain faster value from a hotel-specific analytics product or its existing systems.

The supplier publishes 26 or more live connections, but the exact fields, history, update frequency and write-back should be confirmed for each proposed source. No substantial independent customer-review corpus was found, so references, security, ownership, exit and export terms need careful review.

Operational fit

Where it fits

  • Combine data from hospitality operating systems into one governed reporting model.
  • Automate recurring management reports and reduce spreadsheet preparation.
  • Provide dashboards across sales, labour, stock, finance and guest measures.
  • Maintain connections and reporting through a managed UK analytics service.

Best suited for

UK multi-site hospitality operators with fragmented EPOS, labour, stock, finance and booking data that need a managed reporting model across departments and locations.

May not suit

Single small properties wanting quick standard hotel reports, businesses without ownership of their source data, and buyers seeking an off-the-shelf platform requiring little discovery or implementation.
