PMS
RoomRaccoon
RoomRaccoon is an all-in-one hotel management platform for independent accommodation. Its core subscription combines a property management system, channel manager, booking engine and integrated payments. Higher plans add more users, channels, reporting, support and allowances for upgrade tools or third-party integrations.
Independent perspective
Our review
RoomRaccoon brings PMS, channel management, direct booking and payments under one supplier. For a smaller hotel, that can reduce the joins and subscriptions the operator needs to manage. Our two recorded demonstrations found everyday operation accessible to a team without a technical background. The website builder may also be useful where a property currently pays for a site it cannot easily maintain.
Our main reservations are support responsiveness and the complete price. Public feedback recorded across several platforms raises support and billing concerns. Revenue tools promoted alongside the core product can be paid upgrades, and some connections involve another supplier’s fee. The UK pricing material reviewed also showed inconsistent plan descriptions. Those points should be resolved in a written quotation.
We would test the hotel’s busiest reception tasks, confirm the exact package and ask how urgent booking or payment faults are escalated. A straightforward daily interface is a strength; it does not remove the need for a reliable setup and support process.
Our verdict
We recommend considering RoomRaccoon for small independents, guesthouses and boutique hotels wanting a manageable combined system. It is less suited to operations requiring deeper departmental workflows or more complex group connections. The shortlist should follow the property’s needs and size, rather than assuming one combined product fits every hotel.
The assessment
What stands out
Strengths
Core systems in one platform. PMS, channel manager, booking engine and payments are included from the Entry plan, reducing the number of separate systems a small hotel must connect.
Built for independent properties. The interface, onboarding and packages are aimed at B&Bs, independent hotels and hostels rather than large branded estates.
Clear public package structure. UK pricing publishes the main plan differences and identifies transaction charges and optional upgrades separately.
Strong overall public rating. Many reviewers value ease of use, automation, direct bookings and having reservations, distribution and payments together.
Worth knowing
RoomRaccoon's strongest fit is independent accommodation. It should not be treated as a proven enterprise multi-property replacement simply because the Pro plan mentions hotel groups. Groups should test central controls, reporting, permissions, data ownership and rollout support in detail.
Upgrade allowances and support vary by plan. Housekeeping, revenue tools, ID scanning, website services, card machines and third-party integrations may require an upgrade slot or added cost. Payment transaction fees are separate from the subscription.
Most reviews are positive, but recent public feedback also includes serious complaints about support, delivery against expectations and post-onboarding service. Buyers should agree implementation scope, support response and exit terms in writing.
Operational fit
Where it fits
- Manage reservations, check-in, guest records and rooms in one hotel system.
- Keep direct and third-party booking availability aligned through the built-in channel manager.
- Take direct bookings and integrated payments from the same core platform.
- Add housekeeping, upselling, revenue and specialist integrations where the chosen plan allows.
Best suited for
Vendor targets independent lodging including small hotels, B&Bs, hostels, guesthouses, apartments and pub accommodation. Shortlist applies Matt’s separate under-50-room recommendation policy.
May not suit
Complex hotel groups needing mature central enterprise controls, properties that must retain a different payment provider, or hotels whose required upgrade tools, support level and third-party connections make the package materially more expensive or complex.
