Guest Experience
Millie AI
Millie AI is a voice assistant for UK restaurants and takeaways. It answers incoming calls, deals with routine questions and can make, change or cancel table bookings through supported reservation systems. Separate workflows support telephone food orders. Staff can review call recordings, transcripts, summaries and performance information through its dashboard and app.
Independent perspective
Our review
Millie AI answers routine telephone questions and passes other calls on. For an operator losing calls during busy service, that is a clear problem to address. The recorded commercial offer has a flat monthly fee, no setup charge, no minimum term and thirty days’ notice. We see those terms as useful for testing the service without a large initial commitment.
Our main reservation for hotels is the lack of demonstrated hotel use and connections. The customers identified in our review were restaurants or takeaways. A link to hotel availability, rates or guest records was not established, so the assistant should not be expected to act like a connected reservations team. The demonstration also described a product still in development with an initial tuning period of around four weeks.
We would trial the actual calls the business receives, review missed or escalated conversations and assign someone to refine the answers. Confirm overage charges, recordings, data export and the fallback when the assistant cannot help.
Our verdict
We recommend a supervised evaluation for single-site businesses with simple, repetitive calls. It is less suited to hotels needing live room sales or a proven PMS connection. The low commitment makes testing reasonable, but the answering quality needs demonstrating on the business’s own number.
The assessment
What stands out
Strengths
Reduces missed calls during service. The assistant can answer several calls while venue staff remain focused on guests and food service.
Handles useful restaurant tasks. It can answer menu and opening-time questions and, with a supported connection, complete table bookings rather than simply take a message.
Offers a low-commitment trial. Current supplier terms advertise a free first month, no setup charge and cancellation at any time.
Provides a record of calls. Recordings, transcripts and summaries allow managers to check what callers were told and identify follow-up work.
Worth knowing
Millie AI is presently strongest in restaurants and takeaways. The supplier mentions hotels, but the published product detail and named customer examples centre on food and beverage venues. Hotels should not assume it can read room availability, rates or guest records without a specifically demonstrated connection.
Artificial voice handling needs supervision. Menus, opening hours, allergen wording, booking rules and escalation routes must be maintained, and managers should regularly review calls for incorrect or awkward answers.
Published performance and revenue figures are supplier claims rather than independent review findings. No dependable review corpus was found on Hotel Tech Report, G2, Capterra or Trustpilot, so customer references and a live trial are particularly important.
