Revenue Management

Lighthouse

Lighthouse is a commercial platform for hotel revenue teams. This listing centres on Lighthouse Pricing, which combines competitor rates, forward-looking demand signals and pricing recommendations. Lighthouse also offers separate products for performance, distribution, parity and direct-booking optimisation; these should not be assumed to be included with Pricing.

Independent perspective

Our review

Lighthouse brings competitor rates, market demand and commercial performance information into one place. For a revenue owner currently gathering information from several sources, that can make pricing decisions quicker and better informed. The recorded customer examples include smaller UK groups, alongside substantial public feedback. We see its main value in a hotel that already follows a deliberate commercial routine.

Our main reservation is whether the information will be used enough to justify the cost. Price was a concern in our demonstration and in public commentary. Reviewers also describe setup complexity, occasional data inaccuracies and difficulties obtaining a consolidated group view. The depth and support of each required connection were not established simply by the published partner list.

We would use the hotel’s real competitor set and reporting tasks in the demonstration. Confirm the modules, complete price and connection responsibilities, and compare the proposed information with the decisions the team can actually make. Setup effort should be judged separately from the usefulness of the daily reporting.

Our verdict

We recommend considering Lighthouse for commercially active independents and small groups with a named pricing owner. It is less suited to a very small property on tight margins or a business where nobody will act on the data. The return comes from better commercial decisions, not dashboard coverage alone.

The assessment

What stands out

Strengths

Strong view of market demand. Lighthouse combines live hotel and short-term-rental rates with forward-looking search and flight signals.

Clear commercial workflow. Revenue teams can compare competitors, inspect demand changes and review explained pricing recommendations in one place.

Works alongside an RMS. Hotels can use the market intelligence to challenge or support pricing from another revenue system.

Extensive hotel review evidence. Reviewers commonly value rate comparison, demand insight, data accuracy and an easy-to-use interface.

Worth knowing

Lighthouse is now a broad commercial platform. Pricing, Performance, Distribution, Direct and other products have different purposes and commercial arrangements, so the proposal should name every included product.

Pricing recommendations still depend on selecting relevant competitors and interpreting market signals in the context of the property. A system can show demand without knowing every local event, renovation or change in hotel strategy.

Public feedback is strong overall, although some users question forecast accuracy for their property, ask for more flexible reporting or find particular advanced views complex.

Operational fit

Where it fits

  • Compare live hotel and short-term-rental competitor rates.
  • See forward-looking market demand and event signals.
  • Review explained pricing recommendations while retaining control.
  • Align revenue, sales and marketing teams around shared commercial information.

Best suited for

Independent hotels and groups with an active revenue function that need reliable competitor pricing, market-demand signals and explained recommendations across one or more properties.

May not suit

Properties seeking a PMS or transactional distribution system, or very small hotels that will not regularly use market insight to change pricing and commercial decisions.
