Automation

CEVITR

CEVITR provides managed robotic process automation through a digital worker called Jo. It is configured to complete repetitive, rule-based work across a hotel's existing systems, such as checking bookings, reconciling commission or payments, registering invoices and preparing exception reports. It works around existing software rather than replacing a PMS, finance system or payments platform.

Independent perspective

Our review

CEVITR addresses repetitive back-office work where the existing systems do not offer a suitable connection. Software robots can carry out tasks such as booking commission checks, invoice registration, deposit posting and settlement matching. The supplier’s hotel group examples describe these processes at substantial volume. We see the potential value where the same manual task occupies significant staff time each month.

Our main reservation is how much of the delivery evidence comes from the supplier. The recorded hotel examples are supplier case studies, and the public review search did not locate independent product feedback. Pricing, minimum terms, notice and exit arrangements were also not established in our review. The security position needs particular attention where reservation or payment data is involved.

We would start with one named process, measure its current cost and agree how exceptions, system changes and maintenance will be handled. A robot that needs frequent intervention can move work rather than remove it.

Our verdict

We recommend a scoped evaluation for hotel groups with a clearly defined, high-volume task and an internal process owner. It is less suited to a small independent whose task takes only a few minutes a day. The business case must include ongoing maintenance as well as the initial saving.

The assessment

What stands out

Strengths

Targets repetitive back-office work. High-volume finance, reservations and administration processes can be completed without staff repeating the same screen actions.

Works across existing systems. Automation can be useful where suppliers do not provide a suitable direct connection or where several systems must be checked in sequence.

Produces exception information. Well-designed processes allow staff to focus on discrepancies and decisions rather than every transaction.

Has relevant group-hotel examples. Published cases cover reservation checks, commission reconciliation and payment matching in sizeable UK and Irish hotel operations.

Worth knowing

Robotic process automation is a managed workaround, not the same as a supported system-to-system integration. If a screen, report, login process or supplier workflow changes, the automation may need updating. Ownership and response times for failures should be written into the agreement.

The commercial case depends on volume and stability. A frequently repeated process across many properties may justify a tailored build, while a low-volume task at one small hotel may not. Baseline time, error rates and expected savings should be measured before approval.

Published results are supplier case studies and no dependable independent review corpus was found. Hotels should verify security, credential handling, audit logs, business continuity, pricing and references for comparable processes.

Operational fit

Where it fits

  • Automate repetitive booking, commission, invoice, deposit or payment checks.
  • Move information between existing applications through defined rule-based workflows.
  • Produce logs and exception reports for staff to review.
  • Run scheduled back-office processes outside normal working hours.

Best suited for

Hotel groups with stable, high-volume, rule-based work across reservations, finance or payments where no suitable direct integration removes the manual process.

May not suit

Small properties with low transaction volumes, rapidly changing workflows, and buyers who actually need a supported real-time integration or replacement core system.
