Guest Experience

Biteluxe

Biteluxe is a managed hotel guest-messaging service centred on WhatsApp. It designs and maintains a hotel-specific AI concierge that sends pre-arrival, in-stay and post-stay messages, answers routine questions, promotes relevant upgrades and services, and routes conversations to staff when a person is needed. The supplier manages the technology and messaging rather than leaving hotel teams to configure it alone.

Independent perspective

Our review

Biteluxe uses WhatsApp conversations to help hotels answer guests and sell relevant extras, such as restaurant bookings, spa treatments and room upgrades. Named UK examples in the recorded research range from 26 to 218 bedrooms. We see a useful proposition for a hotel with facilities to sell and an existing reason to communicate with guests before and during their stay.

Our main reservation is the detail behind the claimed connections and results. The revenue figures reviewed originated with the supplier or its publicity, even where trade press repeated them. The integration material did not identify partners clearly enough to establish access to live availability, rates or guest history. Operators should not assume a logo means a working connection for their property.

We would ask for a demonstration using the proposed PMS and the hotel’s actual offers. Confirm what the assistant knows, who approves messages, how staff take over and how revenue is measured. Pricing and support commitments should be in writing, particularly with a young, small supplier.

Our verdict

We recommend considering a measured trial for independents with restaurant or spa capacity to fill. It is less suited to hotels that need proven live-system access before starting. The opportunity is promising, but the connection and incremental revenue need demonstrating rather than assuming.

The assessment

What stands out

Strengths

Designed specifically for hotels. Guest journeys cover room upgrades, restaurant and spa bookings, arrival information, in-stay questions and post-stay follow-up.

Fully managed service. Biteluxe writes, maintains and optimises the conversations, which reduces the technical workload for hotel teams.

Uses a channel guests already know. WhatsApp can achieve stronger engagement than email when consent, timing and content are handled well.

Published hotel examples show commercial potential. Named properties describe additional restaurant bookings, better understanding of stay purpose and increased upselling, although these remain supplier case studies.

Worth knowing

The supplier now states that Biteluxe can connect with PMS, CRM, EPOS, spa and booking systems, but the public site does not provide a dependable named integration directory. Confirm the exact connection, data flow, write-back, owner and support route for every system in your proposed setup.

WhatsApp messaging requires valid guest consent, approved templates and careful control of frequency. Poorly timed or overly sales-focused messages can undermine the guest experience even when open rates are high.

Published uplift figures come from Biteluxe and its participating hotels rather than independent review platforms. No substantial Hotel Tech Report, G2, Capterra or Trustpilot corpus was found, so references and a measured pilot should carry more weight than headline percentages.

Operational fit

Where it fits

  • Send personalised WhatsApp messages before, during and after a stay.
  • Answer routine guest questions and route exceptions to the right team.
  • Promote relevant restaurant, spa, upgrade and local-experience options.
  • Capture guest preferences and pass approved information to connected systems where supported.

Best suited for

Independent and group hotels with meaningful restaurant, spa, upgrade or experience revenue that want a managed WhatsApp guest journey rather than another platform for staff to configure.

May not suit

Properties with little ancillary revenue, hotels unable to establish consent and messaging ownership, and buyers needing a named proven connection that Biteluxe cannot demonstrate with their existing systems.
