Guest Experience

Airport Taxi Hub

Airport Taxi Hub is a UK airport-transfer booking service. Guests choose a route and vehicle, pay through the booking journey and receive a confirmed transfer with flight tracking and round-the-clock support. Hotels can direct guests to the service, but it is an ancillary travel service rather than hotel operations software.

Independent perspective

Our review

Airport Taxi Hub offers hotels a transfer-booking service at no outlay to the hotel instead offering a valuable potential revenue stream to generate passive recurring income that can contribute straight to the bottom line figures. The hotel shares a booking link or QR code, the guest books a transfer, and the property earns 3 to 5 per cent of the fare. Payment, driver dispatch and driver compliance all remain with the supplier, so nothing extra falls on the front desk. For properties near an airport or transport hub, we see this as one of the simplest sources of ancillary revenue currently available.

Our main reservation is that bookings sit in Airport Taxi Hub’s own portal rather than in the hotel’s systems at present meaning two systems to work with. Transfers cannot be viewed against the reservation or reconciled against the stay, which leaves a gap in the guest record. The supplier is addressing this. Its Mews integration is nearing production-level dispatch, and further integrations are planned with AI messaging services, in-room televisions and guest bookings, alongside automated upsells such as early check-in and late checkout. We will reassess once these are live, but the roadmap is heading in the right direction.

Revenue depends entirely on promotion. In our experience, a QR code on the reception desk delivers little. Properties that embed the booking link in an automated pre-arrival message, at the point the guest is planning their journey, are far better placed to see meaningful returns.

Our verdict

We recommend Airport Taxi Hub for properties with reliable airport traffic and an established pre-arrival messaging flow, where the link can be added once and left to work. It is less suited to rural properties, hotels that need transfers held within the guest record today, or operators unwilling to promote it. It is a low-risk, no-cost addition, but returns reflect the effort put behind it.

The assessment

What stands out

Strengths

Covers major UK airports. Guests can arrange journeys to and from a broad range of airports using one booking journey.

Provides practical transfer features. Flight tracking, licensed local suppliers, optional meet and greet, vehicle choices and cancellation before the stated deadline are included in the customer proposition.

Reduces work at reception. A hotel can direct guests to self-service booking instead of sourcing and confirming every transfer manually.

Can add a useful guest service. Airport properties and hotels with frequent international travellers may benefit from a clear transfer option before arrival.

Worth knowing

Airport Taxi Hub is not a taxi-dispatch or hotel transport-management system. The public website is designed for travellers, and no connection to a PMS or guest record is demonstrated. Staff may not see a transfer automatically against a stay.

Vehicle supply and the journey itself depend on local taxi partners. Hotels should confirm responsibility for delays, complaints, refunds, accessibility needs and guests who miss the driver.

The public site confirms the traveller service but does not explain the hotel partnership, commission or contract terms. Those terms should be checked in writing. No dependable product-review corpus was found on the main software review platforms.

Operational fit

Where it fits

  • Give guests a self-service route for booking UK airport transfers.
  • Offer different vehicle sizes
  • meet and greet and flight-aware pickup.
  • Reduce the time reception spends arranging individual taxis.
  • Provide an ancillary service before arrival or departure.

Best suited for

UK hotels near airports or transport hubs that receive regular transfer requests and want to offer guests a straightforward self-service booking route.

May not suit

Properties with little airport demand, hotels needing transfers recorded in the PMS, and operators seeking direct control over drivers, dispatch or service recovery.
