Guest Experience
14IP
14IP is a hospitality technology supplier specialising in hotel communications. Its portfolio includes cloud and on-site telephone systems, managed hotel Wi-Fi, guest-room telephones and an AI voice assistant called Xivea AI Hospitality. These are separate solutions from one supplier rather than a single hotel operations platform.
Independent perspective
Our review
14IP offers hotels telephone services and automated first-line answering, with UK engineering support and the option to source guest Wi-Fi from the same business. For an independent without its own IT manager, fewer suppliers and one contact can be useful. We see the strongest case where a steady volume of routine calls interrupts reception’s work.
Our main reservation is the gap between answering an enquiry and completing a booking. In the recorded demonstration, the agent could not finish a room booking or take a card payment; those functions awaited certification. Performance figures and customer numbers were supplier claims, and named references were not supplied. Pricing and terms had been discussed verbally rather than confirmed in writing. The proposed guest-data connection also relied on another company’s middleware.
We would test the service on a real number, including escalation to staff, and request comparable UK references. Confirm the live functions, middleware responsibility, security position and full commercial terms before relying on it.
Our verdict
We recommend considering 14IP for independents and small groups wanting to reduce routine calls and place configuration with a specialist supplier. It is less suited to an operator needing autonomous booking and payment today. A practical trial should establish the benefit before a wider commitment.
The assessment
What stands out
Strengths
Specialist hotel communications experience. The supplier focuses on hospitality and supports independent properties, groups and major hotel brands.
Broad communications portfolio. Hotels can source telephony, Wi-Fi, supporting hardware and AI call handling through one supplier.
Suitable for complex estates. The services are designed for individual hotels and multi-property deployment, with central support and monitoring options.
Understands hotel infrastructure. The supplier works with hotel telephone requirements, guest connectivity, legacy equipment and hospitality-system connections rather than offering a generic office setup.
Worth knowing
14IP sells several distinct services. Buying telephony, Wi-Fi and Xivea from the same supplier does not mean every function is technically connected, so each proposed data flow and dependency should be confirmed.
Xivea can answer routine calls and route requests, but hotels should establish exactly which room-booking, payment, restaurant-booking and service-request tasks are live with their own systems. Supplier performance figures should not be treated as independent results.
No substantial product-review corpus was found on Hotel Tech Report, G2, Capterra or Trustpilot. Ask for references using the same hotel brand, PMS, telephony environment and proposed modules, alongside written support and resilience commitments.
Operational fit
Where it fits
- Replace or modernise hotel telephone systems and guest-room devices.
- Provide managed guest and operational Wi-Fi across a property.
- Automate selected routine guest calls through Xivea AI Hospitality.
- Consolidate communications infrastructure and support with a hospitality specialist.
Best suited for
Hotels and groups replacing or consolidating telephony, managed Wi-Fi or guest call handling, particularly where hospitality-specific installation and ongoing support matter.
May not suit
Properties seeking one complete hotel operations platform, buyers assuming all 14IP services automatically share data, and very small hotels that do not need managed communications infrastructure.
